How To Detox Your Body

If you find a lot of the time where you feel like your energy level is getting consistently lower and you usually feel like you are under the weather, it may be a good time for a body detox. Basically what a detox is that you change your food intake for a determined period of time in order to push out all the toxic materials and impurities that are in your body.

Before you do this however, it is important to know the correct way to go about it. Doing this the wrong way is a good way to get ill.

To begin, you need to remove any toxins that you currently consume. This mean liquor, caffeine, fatty foods, cigarettes and other junk. Not only the things like this that you consume, but also chemical cleaners that you are exposed to along with shampoo, deodorant, cleanser and toothpaste.

One way to go through a detox is through a juice fasting process. This means that for a certain period of usually up to a few days, you only drink the juices of a variety of fruits and vegetables and do not eat solid foods for this period of time.

Another perhaps more dedicated and experienced person’s version of detoxing is called a water fast. This is exactly what it you probably think it is, drinking water for a predetermined period of time. This allows your digestion system to relax and allow toxic substances in your body to be flushed out.

After going through one of these versions of detoxification diets, it is know to remember to take care of your body and make sure to eat a healthy diet daily. Be sure to always include in your daily diet fresh fruits and vegetables and eat junk food and other fats only in moderation. Doing this will help keep your body detoxed. Also do not smoke, drink or do drugs.

The most important thing to remember is to use your body well and be sure that you know what you are doing if you decide to detox your body. Always talk to your doctor before a detox as well.
