The long shots at the beginning and at the end of the film were so leisurely that if someone told me it was not a film produced by Hitchcock, givenchy I would believe him. The warm music was so simple and substantial. Through the rear window, the spectacular views of the opposite building were showed just like the sitcoms to the audiences. The leading character saw ordinary and boring lives of ordinary families. The only difference was these views were all marked with Hitchcockrsquo;s label.
Before the kill happened, each day, Jeff would look from his window and observed everything happened in the opposite building: a hot woman who always dressed in shorts and bra would dance all the time; a frustrated composer would sit alone in front of the piano and began to write songs; a couple would lie in their third floor balcony to enjoy the cool, and they would also play with their pet dog in the yard; the wife of Mr. Su, the man lived on the second floor, already got sick and lay in bed for a long time, and this couple quarreled all the time; a woman always stayed alone. Sometimes, Hitchcockrsquo;s cold humor would make the audiences laughing.
After the boring murder, the hot woman fell in love with a short retired soldier, and the lonely woman began to get drunk in the composer’s music. Everything seemed as normal as always, but Jeff finally left that rear window, and fell asleep in a wheelchair.
The cleverest plot in this film was Hitchcock magnified everything Jeff saw from his rear window. Hitchcock concentrated the entire society into a small yard.
You might regard this film as an unperturbed movie, but after you finished it, you might feel that your judgment was wrong. The director gave this film a perfect ending, and Grace Kelly, the leading actress in this film, thomas sabo sale was just stunning.
